ShipOrigin

RESEARCH

Knowing The Market

Similar to its sister company Everwin, ShipOrigin wanted to target clients mainly based in China, but potentially overseas as well. It is planning on taking business opportunities globally in the eCommerce field.

/// The Consultation

I was able to get clear image of the client's vision after our call, but there was a lot of freedom for me to design a professional and clean logo for the company.

DRAFT

So Many Variations

I had a lot of draft ideas for the look of the brand, and fortunately, I was able to pinpoint a few and went straight to digital with them.

/// Perfectionist

Sometimes, there are too many ideas in my mind that I want to see refined, but it would take a lot of extra time on my part to make them look nice and then ultimately have them rejected by my own standards. I made a mental note to myself to stop overspending my time budget.

DESIGN

Playful But Professional

The client wanted a more playful tone when I showed them the initial drafts of both Everwin and ShipOrigin, saying that the fonts looked too rigid. But when I changed into a more "cutesy" font, they said it looked too cartoon-ish. It was then a battle to figure out where the grey zone between those two contrasting descriptions lies.

DESIGN

Business Cards

I am currently designing more print visual graphics for ShipOrigin, including business cards for the employees. While still in the stages of figuring out what the best approach for them is, I know my direction is to keep everything simple and clean.
