The founder of Stratum came back to me after we finished release the first version of Stratum AI with a different problem. He said potential clients in the mining industry don't understand what the AI actually does. "We tell them about the accuracy and profitability of our advanced computing algorithm, but they don't really understand how we train and build our models."
How do I effectively communicate each step of the Stratum AI process to people who may have never even heard of the word "artificial intelligence"? I need to visually showcase minimalistic yet crucial information through guided animations.
I began storyboarding in Illustrator to create the necessary vector art that would aid the visual storytelling of Stratum AI. I curated smooth transitions and animations to guide the viewers through eahc step of the way.
Instead of the target audience being investors, the audience is now potential clients in the mining industry. This meant that it is extremely important for website to capture key selling points of the company and ensure that clients thoroughly understand the process of Stratum's algorithm.
Strtaum AI V1 was coded in Angular, but since then, the founder has decided to shift the focus away from potential backend development. He wants to build out an innovative and interactive site, and therefore, I chose to just use jQuery. In the future (as explained below), I will be incorporating three.js, which is a framework that uses WebGL to render 3D graphics.
The first release of Stratum AI V2 is now live. However, I am still working with the founder on an interactive 3D resource model of a mine field generated by the AI algorithm. I have never worked with 3D CAD models on websites, so this is a daunting and complex task, but at the same time, I am very excited to learn something new and cool.
Another release of the website will be live in the coming weeks, but the current release can be found at below.
